Spotify: The Muse

Design Brief

My Targets

My design solution aimed to address these challenges by introducing features that:

Encourage social music sharing within the app.

Foster collaboration through real-time group listening experiences.

Directly connect users’ social activities to Spotify’s ecosystem to increase Student Premium subscriptions.

The Muse is a social feature designed to make Spotify more interactive and community-focused. The idea stemmed from a fictional design brief to solve two key problems:

Many users, especially students, struggle to share music directly through Spotify.

Spotify lacks built-in tools for social engagement, leading users to rely on external platforms.
